Emotionally Quieter

It is quieter now, which is really funny because it shouldn't make that much difference. Last Saturday I drove our eldest son back to school. We laughed about how much he took, or should I say didn't take. This is his third year and he took about a third of what he took his freshman year.

Back to home. It's quieter since he's gone, emotionally quiet. Don't get me wrong, with a 17 year old and a 13 1/2 year old still at home - there's still plenty of emotion flying around! But still, with one gone (and it being his third year away), it's just quieter.

This is a new kind of adjustment.
