I had a very nice Mother's Day. My children were home, we had a nice cookout with my mother-in-law at my sister-in-law's house, and I felt very grateful to be a mom. My kids make me laugh (like when I look at this picture) and they make me smile at the really cool people they have become.
Today I was fixing a cup of coffee and decided to use my mother's mug. Unlike myself who likes to collect coffee mugs from various places as souvenirs - my mother used one coffee mug for as long as I can remember. When she passed nearly 5 years ago, my father gave me her mug. It is plain, brown on the outside and white on the inside. No logos, no pictures, no words adorn it.
But it speaks volumes to me.
