I woke up early this morning to the sound of heavy rain. It brought back the memory of a song. When I was in high school (back in the day as my daughter says) I was part of a "Swing Choir". One of the songs we sang was Jose Feliciano's "Listen to the Falling Rain". We were pretty good if I say so myself (though I'm not too sure about those outfits we wore). Actually when I think about it we sang a lot of Jose Feliciano songs. I wonder if my classmate Steve Fulton who is a professional musician remembers those choir days with fondness?
I like a nice rainy Saturday, there's something about it that is very soothing. With the rain comes unspoken permission to just stop for a bit. It's almost as good as waking up to a snow covered landscape.
