Spring has sprung. I know this not because the redbuds have bloomed, birds are tweeting louder than Twitter, or because people are sneezing everywhere I go. I know this because the sale papers are filled with swimsuit models.
The males in my family have it easy. Swim trunks are pretty standard fare. As long as they aren't above the knee and have a drawstring waist - they're happy. The females however . . .
I have a twelve year old daughter who wants to be fashionable. I'm having a hard time distinguishing between swimsuits and underwear. Even one-piece suits can be pretty suggestive.
It's enough to make a mom decide to move to Antarctica.
P.S. Don't worry, my daughter will be fashionable AND appropriately attired at the pool and beach this year. And me? Hmm . . . maybe I'll just wear a caftan and embarrass her . . .
