I was reminded this weekend that no matter how far I have come, it is easy to forget and fall back into old patterns of thinking. I was surprised to discover that the insecurities of my teenage years can be pulled up at a moment's notice.

I also realized one of the values of a snow day - you can stop and enjoy the moment without feeling guilty for not working. I am losing hope of any real snow this year, so I dug up this picture of my back yard from last year and plan to pretend this is the view outside my kitchen window today.
