My hotel view in Orangestad, Aruba |
I am looking out my home office window to an overcast rainy day where there is enough ice on the street to have caused a two hour school delay. There is still spotty snow on the ground and the clouds look heavy with moisture. Just yesterday morning I was standing on a balcony in Aruba looking out at a beautiful ocean view. My skin smarted in the shower this morning when the hot water hit my slightly sunburned shoulders.
I hear the sound of airplanes taking off from the nearby airport and wonder where the passengers are headed. I am amazed at the trip I just took. I will have plenty of material to post in future blogs about my experiences there.
For now, I'm just sipping my coffee and remembering.
