Monday, Monday - I like it!

The weekend is over and it's time to get back to work. I had a wonderful weekend. My husband took me away to celebrate our 21st anniversary. He decided we needed a restful and "cultural" time away. He was right. Friday night we went to a music gig (somehow calling it a concert doesn't seem right) at The Neighborhood Theater in Charlotte. It is an old style theatre that has been stripped out and is a music venue. We saw the "Carolina Chocolate Drops", a delightful three person group of African Americans who are called a "jug band". They were amazing and I had a wonderful time. Not only did I enjoy the music (which I had never heard of), I discovered I liked trying something new and feeling like I was "hip". On Saturday night we went to a play, I didn't think I'd like it when I heard what it would be (it was called "End Times"), but I did. It was a bit edgy and I'm sure some wouldn't approve - but it was thought provoking and I do enjoy live performances. The fact that we had front row seats and were three feet from the actors helped too!

Today I've been catching up on reading the blogs I subscribe to - great writing tips and information from some, others are just fun posts to enjoy. Later this morning I have a meeting with two ladies where we're discussing our growing spiritual walks.

I like Mondays - I feel ready to start anew. I hope you do too.
