This was a weekend of movies. My husband and I went out Friday night to dinner and then to see "Julie and Julia". A great movie, with lots of life applications. Then last night we watched "The Secret life of Bees" that came in through Netflix. Another great movie, with lots of life applications.
I find today I need those life applications. I am weary from the emotional struggles today. Pains from the past keep rearing their ugly heads to touch my family. There have been good things today, but just enough thorns to make me tender.
August Boatwright in The Secret Life of Bees said when working the hives: "Don't be afraid. Don't swat. Don't be stupid (take proper precautions). And most of all -send love - because everybody is looking for love."
Somehow I need to put that in place in my life. Tomorrow all will seem better I'm sure.
